I would like to take this opportunity to provide assurance the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative  Services remains committed to current efforts toward the conversion of Supervised Group Living Homes  to Waiver Homes.  The Division also will continue to provide support and assistance to all stakeholders  during this process. 2013 Indiana Disability Poll: Focus on Health Issues

You are invited to complete a survey about health issues with the goal of providing better information on the challenges faced by people with disabilities in Indiana in accessing health care. People with disabilities, their family members and disability advocates are being asked to provide information on their experience in accessing health care and sustaining a healthy lifestyle. This project is a collaborative effort between the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community at Indiana University – Bloomington, the Indiana Governor’s Council for People with Disabilities, and Indiana Protection and Advocacy Services (IPAS).

Changes to the transition IEP

Family Voices Indiana shares this information from the Indiana secondary transition resource center. This communication is directed primarily to teachers in regards to compliance issues, but we felt it was important that families have the same information so they can be better informed as partners at their child's case conference. Please discuss this with your child's teacher of record if you have any concerns.

Do you know there have been some format updates to the Indiana IEP? Do you know there is a drop down list of suggested action verbs for postsecondary goals or the “I will” statements to help ensure compliance? Do you know there is a table to list each of the transition assessments conducted each year?
